Class Description: THIS CLASS IS FULL. You may call to have your name put on a waiting list. Beginning and intermediate potters will practice basic wheel throwing techniques and learn about the glazing process. An allotted amount of clay will be provided; additional supply list will be discussed during the first session. Space is limited.

Sumi - e: East meets West

Class Description: Sumi-e is a watercolor brushstroke technique developed in Japan. Workshop participants will be introduced to Japanese brushes and brush strokes used to create different effects. Clay for Kids! (Ages 6 to14)

Class Description: Set those wheels aside and lets get grounded! Explore clay in a new and unique way, through plaster slabs, casting and printing. The surface of our clay bodies will act more as a print, painting, or drawing. This will be a process-oriented class where we will make our own plaster molds, decals, functional and non-functional objects through slab assembly and casting techniques. Come and join us for this jump-into-contemporary techniques in ceramics. Instructor: Kaletia Roberts, recent graduate of UTEP with a BFA in Ceramics and Sculpture.
